2015 Gramophone Young Artist of the Year and a Grammy-nominated performer, Joseph Moog has been establishing himself at an international level as a pianist of exceptional diversity and curiosity, championing well-known repertoire as well as forgotten pieces. He has collaborated with orchestras such as the Hallé and the Philharmonia Orchestra, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, Helsinki Philharmonic, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and New Japan Philharmonic.
Performance highlights of Moog’s 2019/20 season include recitals at Wigmore Hall, Turner Sims Concert Hall Southampton and Salle Philharmonique de Liège as well as his debut with Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
In the recording studio, Joseph Moog has an extensive and acclaimed discography, and his recording of Grieg and Moszkowski piano concertos received a Best Classical Instrumental Solo Grammy nomination in 2015. His new recording, Heaven and Hell, of works by Liszt is due for release in October 2019 on Onyx Classics.
