Festival de Valloires | website |
 | 8-13 August 2008 marks the third Festival de Valloires -- an annual chamber music Festival taking place at the Abbaye de Valloires in Picardy, Northern France, directed by BBC producer Adam Gatehouse. The 2008 programme will focus on the music of Schubert and Britten, and feature artists including Imogen Cooper, Mark Padmore, Ian Bostridge, Cedric Tiberghien, Paul Lewis, the Vienna Piano Trio, the Belcea Quartet and Dutch mezzo soprano Christianne Stotijn. |

Fretwork | website |
 | Fretwork are the world’s leading consort of viols and have been performing all over the world for over 20 years. The Ensemble are releasing a disc in July on Harmonia Mundi centred around the Jewish musicians that came to England in the 16th century to work for Henry VIII. The programme finishes with a contemporary work by Orlando Gough's 'Birds on Fire' and will be performed at the Wigmore Hall on 14 September. |

"George Enescu" International Festival and Competition | website |
 | The biennial "George Enescu" International Festival and Competition next takes place in September 2009 in Bucharest. Run by the Romanian Ministry of Culture, the festival features three weeks of performances by high profile international orchestras and artists, as well as numerous Romanian artists and ensembles. |

Nelson Goerner | website |
 | The Argentinian-born pianist Nelson Goerner performs Brahms with the LPO (30 May) and Beethoven with the CBSO (11/13 July). His imminent concerto release on EMI is a new work by a composer with connections outside the classical mainstream – Jon Lord, formerly a member of the seminal rock band Deep Purple. |

He is in his fourth season as the first American Music Director of Norway's Bergen Philharmonic, a 242-year-old orchestra once led by Edvard Grieg. |

 | The London Philharmonic Orchestra moved back into the refurbished Royal Festival Hall in June 2007. Vladimir Jurowski succeeded Kurt Masur as Principal Conductor in September, and the Orchestra celebrated its 75th Anniversary in October. The London Philharmonic Orchestra’s record label now has a catalogue of 30 recordings, including three special 75th Anniversary Box Set editions. The London Philharmonic Orchestra has been a VBPR client since 2003. |

Kazushi Ono | website |
 | The conductor Kazushi Ono makes his debut this summer at Glyndebourne in the Festival’s first ever production of Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, 20 July – 29 August 2008. Kazushi is in his final season as Music Director of La Monnaie in Brussels and in the autumn takes over as Principal Conductor of the Opéra de Lyon. |

Minnesota Orchestra | website |
 | The Minnesota Orchestra under its Music Director Osmo Vänskä return to London for a performance at London’s Barbican on 24 February 2009. The final disc of the orchestra’s recordings of the complete Beethoven Symphonies for BIS will be released this Autumn. This is the fifth project that VBPR has handled for the Minnesota Orchestra, following previous consultancies in 1998, 2000, 2004 and 2006. |

 | The Scottish Ensemble are a unique string ensemble, who perform standing, without a conductor. Led by its Artistic Director Jonathan Morton, the Ensemble perform regularly at Wigmore Hall, in addition to its performances in Scotland. A live recording of the Scottish Ensemble, with the tenor Toby Spence, has recently been released on the Wigmore Hall Live label. |
